Overview
Get a stronger, slop-free connection between your steering servo and steering linkage with the Hot Racing CNC 6061 Aluminum Steering Servo Arm for the Traxxas X-Maxx. CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum and finished with a clean blue anodized coating, this direct-replacement servo horn eliminates the flex and stripped splines that plague the factory plastic Traxxas 7747 horn under 8S brushless steering loads.
Designed to retain the stock double-shear linkage geometry, this aluminum horn pairs perfectly with the Hot Racing aluminum bellcrank and steering link set for a complete, race-grade X-Maxx steering refresh. A replaceable nylon-insert lock nut keeps the assembly secure run after run.
Key Features
- CNC-machined 6061 aluminum construction
- Blue anodized finish for corrosion resistance and clean looks
- Direct replacement for Traxxas 7747 plastic servo horn
- Retains stock double-shear linkage design
- Includes replaceable M3 nylon-insert lock nut
Performance Benefits
- Eliminates the flex and stripping common to plastic servo horns
- Sharper, more direct steering input
- Long service life under high 8S steering loads
- Clean, secure connection that won't loosen during hard driving
Usage Notes
Designed to fit Traxxas 2085 servos. Apply a small drop of removable thread-locker on the clamp screw during installation. Replace the nylon-insert lock nut periodically — the nylon insert wears with repeated removal, and a fresh lock nut helps prevent loosening from vibration.
