Overview
The Team Associated RC28R.1 Team Kit is a 1:28 scale, 2WD electric on-road race car developed by the AREA 51 design team. It builds on the RC28R platform with an updated steel chassis and center bulkhead that accept 24mm wide battery packs, give more room for mounting electronics and reduce chassis scrub, while keeping the center of gravity low.
Front-end tuning is expanded with new upper arm options offering 0.5 and 1 degree of camber and 2 and 4 degrees of caster, braced by a Factory Team carbon fiber upper arm brace and front bulkhead shim. At the rear, torsion-style side links replace conventional side springs (soft, medium and hard supplied), a threaded aluminum center shock controls pod movement, and a two-piece rear pod with FT carbon fiber shims lets you change axle height for different tire diameters and ride heights. The kit ships with a Radbody Mako X2 body, V2 White wheels, a gear differential and a universal front bumper, and is supplied as a kit that you assemble and fit with your own micro electronics.

- Team Associated recommends a SONIC 1525 micro brushless motor (2500kV, 3500kV or 4500kV), a REEDY Blackbox 300R micro ESC, a REEDY RS0305A micro servo and a 7.4V 1:28 stick LiPo (REEDY 400mAh or Stockstar 480mAh)
- Fine-tune the front end with the camber/caster arm options before changing side-link stiffness
- A 4.5mm nut driver is handy for the wheel nuts on 1:28 vehicles
