Overview
The Team Associated RC8T4.2 Team Kit is a competition-grade 1:8 scale 4WD nitro off-road truggy built for drivers who want a fully tunable race platform. Developed from Associated Electrics' Area 51 RC8 program, the RC8T4.2 focuses on durability, geometry refinement, drivetrain strength, and setup flexibility for demanding truggy tracks.
This kit is intended for experienced nitro racers who want to choose their own engine, pipe, servos, radio system, wheels, tires, and body package. It includes major race-focused updates such as molded height-adjustable gearboxes, revised shock towers, stronger suspension arms, 16-degree KPI steering blocks, a high-volume center differential, and a high-downforce wing.
Compared with a ready-to-run vehicle, the RC8T4.2 gives the builder control over the complete race package. That makes it a strong choice for club racing, regional events, and serious 1:8 nitro truggy programs where setup changes and component selection matter.
