Overview
The Corally SBX-425 1/10 Racing Buggy Kit (00145) is Team Corally's flagship 1/10 scale 4WD electric competition buggy, engineered in Olen, Belgium and built for serious club-level and national-level off-road racing. As the direct successor to the championship-winning SBX-410, the SBX-425 sets a new bar for precision, repeatability, and tunability in 1/10 4WD class — every component has been refined and rigorously tested by Corally's professional racing team to deliver podium-ready performance straight out of the box.
At its heart sits an ultra-low-center-of-gravity chassis built from anodized aluminum with carbon flex plates, providing the optimal balance of stiffness, agility, and chassis flex needed for high cornering speeds and consistent grip across varying track conditions. The SBX-425 ships fully race-spec'd: a pro-level shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain with extra-durable gear differentials, race-optimized adjustable Ackermann steering with eccentric cam bushings for precise toe adjustments, race-proven big-bore oil shocks tested in extreme conditions, and a competition-style polycarbonate body with high-downforce wing for stable high-speed straights and aerodynamic cornering.
Versatility is built in. The SBX-425 supports an extensive range of tuning options — adjustable suspension arm positions, customizable steering geometry, optional rear shock mounting positions, and a floating servo mount that minimizes chassis interference. The buggy is designed around 2S shorty LiPo packs in a specially engineered tray that maintains optimal weight distribution, and it pairs ideally with high-performance 1/10 17.5T to 5.5T brushless motors and ESCs (Team Corally recommends the Vulcan II Modified motor with the CMM-10 ESC for ultimate performance). Whether you're a club racer stepping up to your first competition platform or a seasoned pro chasing podiums, the SBX-425 delivers the precision Belgian engineering, race-bred geometry, and customization depth needed to lead the pack.

Performance Benefits
-
Class-leading cornering speed: The ultra-low CG chassis combined with carbon flex plates lets you carry corner speeds that humble older 4WD platforms, giving you a measurable lap-time advantage.
-
Race-day repeatability: Sealed gear differentials and CNC-machined drivetrain components mean lap-after-lap consistency — no diff fade, no gear chatter, no mid-race surprises.
-
Surgical handling adjustability: Eccentric cam bushings allow precise toe-in tuning that's repeatable to the degree, while adjustable arm positions, shock positions, and Ackermann let you dial the car for any track surface or grip level.
-
Superior aerodynamic stability: The high-downforce racing wing keeps the rear planted on high-speed straights and through fast sweepers, allowing more aggressive throttle application out of corners.
-
Durability under racing loads: Reinforced aluminum arm holders, hardened drivetrain components, and race-tested big-bore shocks shrug off the heavy impacts of competitive racing — minimizing pit time and DNFs.
-
Optimal power-to-weight balance: The 2S shorty LiPo configuration maintains tight weight centralization, sharpening transient response while keeping inertia low for snappy direction changes.
Usage Notes
-
Assembly required: This is a competition kit — expect 6-10 hours of careful assembly. Follow the instruction manual sequentially and reference the included setup sheet.
-
Required electronics: 1/10 brushless motor (17.5T-5.5T), 1/10 brushless ESC, 1/10 high-speed steering servo (10kg+), 2.4GHz radio system, 2S shorty LiPo battery, and compatible charger.
-
Tires not included: Choose tires based on your home track surface — pre-mount and glue 1/10 4WD-spec rubber on appropriate inserts before first run.
-
Diff oil tuning: Heavier front diff oil = more on-power push (understeer); heavier rear = more rear traction; center oil controls how power transfers under acceleration. Start with manufacturer recommendations.
-
Shock setup: Use silicone shock oils to match track surface — lighter oils (around 30-40 wt) for low-grip dirt, heavier (45-55 wt) for high-grip carpet or astroturf.
-
Body painting: Paint the polycarbonate body from the inside using polycarbonate-safe paints (Tamiya PS, Faskolor, etc.); apply included decals after paint cures fully.
-
Initial setup: Use the included setup sheet template as your baseline, then make one change at a time and time laps to evaluate each adjustment.
-
Threadlock: Apply medium-strength (blue) threadlock to all metal-to-metal fasteners during initial build to prevent loosening from vibration.
-
Maintenance schedule: Inspect drivetrain and rebuild diffs every 10-15 packs of competitive running; replace shock seals and oil at the same interval for consistent damping.
