Overview
Upgrade your spur gear with the Hot Racing Hard Anodized 6061-T6 Aluminum 83T 48-Pitch Spur Gear, designed as a direct-fit replacement for the Traxxas EP Stampede, Rustler, and Slash 2WD series trucks. CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a tough hard-anodized light gunmetal coating, this 83-tooth 48-pitch spur gear delivers improved durability and quieter operation compared to the stock plastic spur.
The hard-anodized surface treatment dramatically increases tooth-face hardness and wear resistance, while the precise 6061-T6 aluminum construction holds tooth profile far better than plastic under high-torque load. Drop-in replacement that pays off in performance and longevity.
Key Features
- CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum construction
- Hard anodized in light gunmetal color for wear resistance
- 83 teeth, 48 pitch standard sizing
- Direct fit replacement
- Compatible with Traxxas EP Stampede, Rustler, and Slash 2WD
Performance Benefits
- Far more durable than the stock plastic spur
- Hard-anodized surface resists tooth wear
- Quieter operation than worn plastic spurs
- Consistent gear mesh under high-torque loads
- Longer service intervals between gear replacements
Usage Notes
Due to the plastic motor plate on these vehicles, please check gear alignment and secure the motor before every run. Do not over-tighten the slipper — even metal gears will strip if mesh is wrong or the slipper is locked too tight. Verify gear mesh after installation: there should be a small amount of backlash with no binding.
