Overview
Upgrade your spur gear with the Hot Racing Hard Anodized 6061-T6 Aluminum 90T 48-Pitch Spur Gear, designed as a direct-fit replacement for the Traxxas EP Stampede and Rustler series trucks. CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a tough hard-anodized light gunmetal coating, this 90-tooth 48-pitch spur gear delivers far better durability and consistency than the stock plastic spur — particularly under high-torque brushless setups.
The hard-anodized surface treatment dramatically increases tooth-face hardness and wear resistance, extending the life of the gear. A direct bolt-on replacement that pays off every run with quieter operation, more consistent gear mesh, and a longer service interval.
Key Features
- CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum construction
- Hard anodized in light gunmetal color for wear resistance
- 90 teeth, 48 pitch standard sizing
- Direct replacement for stock plastic spur gear
- Compatible with Traxxas EP Stampede and Rustler
Performance Benefits
- Far more durable than the stock plastic spur
- Hard-anodized surface resists tooth wear
- Quieter operation than worn plastic spurs
- Consistent gear mesh under high-torque loads
- Longer service intervals between gear replacements
Usage Notes
Due to the plastic motor plate on these vehicles, it's necessary to check gear alignment and secure the motor before each use. Setting your slipper too tight or running incorrect gear mesh will cause gears to strip — even metal gears. Verify gear mesh after installation: there should be a small amount of backlash with no binding.
