Overview
Replace the stock plastic motor mount on your Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 with the Hot Racing CNC Aluminum Fixed Motor Mount. CNC-machined from solid aluminum, this direct-replacement motor mount upgrades the Traxxas TRA8390 plastic mount with a stronger, more rigid aluminum platform that's ideal for stock-gearing setups — featuring 11 pinion gear attachment positions optimized for use with the stock 70T spur gear.
If you're running stock or close-to-stock gearing and don't need the full adjustability of the Hot Racing adjustable motor mount, this fixed mount is a smarter, simpler choice. The 11 pinion positions cover the common pinion sizes used with the stock 70T spur, and the aluminum construction dramatically improves power transfer consistency and motor cooling.
Key Features
- CNC-machined aluminum construction
- Direct replacement for Traxxas TRA8390 plastic motor mount
- 11 pinion gear attachment positions for 70T spur gear
- Laser-engraved markings for easy position reference
- Improves power transfer over plastic stock mount
Performance Benefits
- Stronger, more rigid platform than stock plastic mount
- Better heat dissipation reduces motor heat soak
- 11 pinion positions cover common stock-spur configurations
- More consistent gear mesh under load
- Long-lasting aluminum durability
Usage Notes
Always verify gear mesh by spinning the drivetrain by hand after pinion change — there should be a small amount of backlash with no binding. Apply medium thread-locker on motor screws. For non-stock gear ratios outside the 11-position range, consider the Hot Racing adjustable motor mount (HRATRF18A01) instead.
