Overview
Unlock custom gear-ratio tuning and improve motor cooling on your Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 with the Hot Racing CNC Aluminum Adjustable Motor Mount. CNC-machined from solid aluminum and finished in a clean black anodized coating, this direct-replacement motor mount upgrades the stock plastic Traxxas TRA8390 mount with a fully adjustable aluminum platform — perfect for racers and tuners running non-standard pinion/spur combinations.
The adjustable design lets you achieve perfect gear mesh outside the stock pinion/spur range, while the aluminum construction also helps dissipate heat away from the motor can — an important benefit for high-output brushless setups. If you want stock-equivalent gearing without adjustability, consider the simpler Hot Racing TRF1801 fixed motor mount instead.
Key Features
- CNC-machined aluminum construction
- Black anodized finish
- Adjustable mounting position for custom gear ratios
- Heat dissipation helps cool the motor
- Direct replacement for Traxxas TRA8390 plastic motor mount
- Pivot collar and motor mount screws included
Performance Benefits
- Enables custom pinion/spur combinations for tuned gearing
- Better heat dissipation than plastic stock mount
- Stronger and more rigid platform for consistent gear mesh
- Improved power transfer with non-stock gear ratios
- Long-lasting aluminum durability
Usage Notes
Always verify gear mesh by spinning the drivetrain by hand after adjustment — there should be a small amount of backlash with no binding. Apply medium thread-locker on motor screws. For easy stock gear-ratio setup without adjustability, consider the Hot Racing HRATRF1801 fixed motor mount as an alternative.
