Overview
Upgrade your stock slipper clutch with the Hot Racing Super Duty Slipper System (Large/32mm) — a complete, high-performance slipper assembly designed for the family of 1/10 Traxxas vehicles using the 32mm octagon slipper pad. This complete kit includes a CNC-machined aluminum slipper hub, steel pressure plate, and metallic friction pad — replacing Traxxas TRA5351 with a race-grade aluminum/steel system that handles the heat and torque of high-power 4WD setups.
The metallic friction pad is composed of multiple base metals — copper, bronze, and iron — which together conduct heat away from the friction surface for low wear and long life under demanding applications. It's the slipper system serious 4WD racers and bashers turn to when stock slippers fail to deliver consistent performance lap after lap.
Key Features
- CNC-machined aluminum slipper hub
- Steel pressure plate for durability
- Metallic friction pad (copper, bronze, iron base metals)
- Excellent heat dissipation for long pad life
- Complete drop-in slipper system
- Replaces Traxxas TRA5351 slipper pressure plate and hub
Performance Benefits
- More consistent slipper action under high-torque 4WD loads
- Metallic friction pad conducts heat away for low wear
- Long service life under demanding applications
- Stronger and more rigid than stock plastic slipper components
- Precise, repeatable slipper engagement
Usage Notes
Ensure slipper plate screws do not extend past plate surface — shim, file, or obtain different screws if needed. Apply medium thread-locker (e.g. blue Loctite) on screws threading into the slipper plate. Replace slipper pads if they show signs of wear or chipping. Replacement slipper pad is Hot Racing HRATRX15EXP. Always verify your vehicle uses the 32mm octagon slipper pad with TRA5351 hub by checking your vehicle's manual.
