Overview
Maximum traction, maximum durability, no compromises — the Hot Racing Unibody Super Heavy-Duty Solid Billet Steel Differential Locker is the strongest diff lock you can install in a Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer. CNC-machined from solid billet steel and treated with a black oxide finish for corrosion protection, this one-piece spool replaces the stock plastic/metal differential locker setup with a bulletproof component that simply doesn't fail.
If you crawl, climb steep grades, or push your UDR through technical terrain where wheel slip robs you of traction, this is the upgrade you need. Locking both wheels of the axle together delivers full power transfer to the ground — no inside-wheel spin, no wasted torque, just maximum traction every time you grab the throttle.
Key Features
- CNC-machined solid billet steel construction
- Unibody one-piece design — no fasteners to loosen
- Black oxide finish for corrosion protection
- Compatible with both front and rear UDR differentials
- Replaces stock plastic/metal differential locker
Performance Benefits
- Maximum traction on technical lines and climbs
- Eliminates inside-wheel spin and wasted power
- Bulletproof solid steel construction — virtually unbreakable
- One-piece design eliminates fastener-related failures
- Predictable, controllable power delivery
Usage Notes
Locked differentials change steering feel — expect more push (understeer) on tight turns due to lack of differential action. Best suited for technical terrain, hill climbing, and slow-speed obstacle work. Apply light grease to the spool during installation. Compatible with either the front or rear differential — install one or both depending on your driving needs.
