CNC-machined from hardened steel and aluminum, this deep-spiral-angle bevel gear set replaces the stock gears in the front and rear transmissions of the Traxxas 1/16 4WD platform — including the 1/16 Slash 4x4, 1/16 Revo, 1/16 Summit, 1/16 Mustang, and 1/16 Rally.
Spiral bevel gears feature helical teeth formed along spiral lines on the gear face, allowing teeth to engage gradually rather than all at once. Usage Notes
This set provides one ring and pinion for ONE differential — TWO sets are required to upgrade both front and rear differentials on a 1/16 4WD vehicle. Best used with new Traxxas TRA3030X or TRA3029X differentials. Gear mesh must be shimmed correctly during installation — included shims may or may not all be needed depending on your transmission case tolerances. For additional shims, use Hot Racing part W8X. Inner differential gears are NOT included.
