Overview
The Racers Edge 22-Gauge Silicone Wire is engineered for low-to-mid-power RC applications where flexibility, durability, and low resistance are essential. Built with stranded copper conductors and a premium silicone outer jacket, this wire stays soft and pliable even in tight chassis routing or cold weather conditions, making it noticeably easier to work with than typical PVC-insulated wire.
Available here as a 3 ft length in black. Black insulation is ideal for negative leads or clean, professional wiring layouts.
Key Features
- 22 AWG (22-gauge) silicone-jacketed wire
- Stranded copper for flexibility and conductivity
- Black jacket for polarity identification
- 3 ft length
- Stays flexible in heat and cold
- Easy to strip and solder
Performance Benefits
- Low voltage drop under load
- Flexible silicone jacket eases routing in tight chassis
- 22 AWG wire is sized for servo leads, BEC wiring, and small accessory connections.
- Heat-resistant insulation for engine-bay or ESC-adjacent runs
Usage Notes
- Match wire gauge to expected current draw - undersized wire heats up and wastes power.
- Use a sharp, properly sized wire stripper to avoid nicking strands.
- Always heat-shrink solder joints for insulation.
