Unlike traditional propeller boats, the Torrent uses a water-jet drive — and the nozzle is what directs that jet to steer the boat and produce reverse thrust. Over time, contact with submerged debris, weeds, or shoreline rocks can deform or chip the nozzle, hurting both top speed and steering response.
