Overview
The RPM Front Bumper and Skid Plate for the Traxxas Sledge features a unique design that works with Traxxas's forward-moving body mounting mechanism. Because the body mount moves forward by over 1" (25mm), bumper design options are severely limited—but RPM engineers found a way to incorporate a fully functioning bumper that sits below the body.
RPM eliminated the stock bumper and replaced it with a hinge pin retainer (since that's all the stock bumper really is), then eliminated the stock skid plate in favor of a wider, longer, more protective version. A unique bumper bolts to the front of the skid plate, sitting below the body to allow full range of motion while finally giving your Sledge tough RPM front-end protection.
