The Robinson Racing 14T X-Hard Wide 48P Pinion Gear is a steel motor pinion with a wider-than-standard tooth face. The extra tooth width spreads the load across more surface area, helping the gear hold up in high-torque 1/10 scale applications. Pinion size changes your final drive ratio: a smaller pinion gives more torque and lower top speed, while a larger pinion raises top speed and puts more load on the motor, so check temperatures after any change.
