The Tamiya 1/35 US M5A1 Light Tank recreates the refined successor to the M3 Stuart light tank. Developed with twin Cadillac V8 gasoline engines producing 300hp, the M5A1 could achieve an impressive top speed of 58km/h. Armed with a 37mm main gun and machine guns, approximately 6,800 units were produced and served primarily in reconnaissance roles across Italian and Northwest European fronts.
This kit is a re-release of the classic item 35097, featuring accurate reproductions of the welded and bolted hull construction. The included hedgerow cutters depict the field modifications made during the Normandy invasion, and the four included figures bring your diorama to life.
