Overview
The Tamiya Grasshopper is the legendary buggy that started it all for countless RC enthusiasts worldwide. First released in 1984 and inspired by single-seater buggies tearing up dirt tracks across America, this 1/10 scale 2WD off-road buggy proved an instant hit as the perfect entry-level RC kit. Its combination of easy assembly, rugged construction, and exciting performance made the Grasshopper the gateway to RC for an entire generation of hobbyists, and this re-release brings that same magic to a new era.
What made the Grasshopper special then remains true today: the perfect combination of simple assembly and tough exterior that can absorb rough handling while delivering genuine off-road fun. The durable plastic body fastens to the bathtub resin monocoque chassis creating a solid frame, while coil spring dampers and independent front suspension tackle off-road tracks with ease. Compatible with a whole range of option parts including oil dampers, 540 motors, and ball bearings, the Grasshopper grows with the owner's driving experience.
