Overview
The Tamiya Lunch Box Black Edition is a stealthy take on one of RC's most beloved and iconic models. First released in 1987, the Lunch Box quickly became a fan favorite for its camp appearance, wheelie-happy performance, and pure fun factor. This Black Edition brings the classic monster van back in an aggressive blacked-out livery, featuring a black ABS molded body paired with chrome-plated wheels for a modern, stylish look that maintains all the original charm and entertainment value.
Built on the simple and durable CW-01 chassis, the Lunch Box Black Edition is designed for pure enjoyment rather than technical racing. The 1/12 scale boxy minivan body sits high atop massive 115mm diameter semi-pneumatic tires, creating an unmistakable silhouette that turns heads wherever you drive it. The rear-wheel-drive layout combined with the high center of gravity makes pulling wheelies effortlessly easy—just hit the throttle and watch the front wheels lift skyward. This kit is perfect for beginners, nostalgia-seeking hobbyists, and anyone who believes RC cars should above all else be fun.
