Overview
The Tamiya XM-01 Pro Chassis Kit brings professional-specification rally driving capability to M-Chassis scale RC vehicles for the first time. This purpose-built 1/10 scale shaft-driven 4WD chassis assembly kit is engineered specifically for rally competition on mixed surfaces, featuring a compact front midship motor layout, three wheelbase options, aluminum oil dampers, and a protective polycarbonate chassis cover. Simply pair it with your favorite Tamiya M-Chassis size rally body and you're ready to take on dirt, gravel, and tarmac with confidence.
The XM-01 Pro represents Tamiya's commitment to expanding competitive rally options in the popular M-Chassis format. The chassis features sophisticated engineering including adjustable front/rear drive balance through different differential gear combinations, universal drive shafts for optimum efficiency, full ball bearings throughout, and compatibility with select XV-02 Pro hop-up parts. With its longitudinal upright battery position, skid-angle front bumper, and new suspension components, the XM-01 Pro delivers the perfect balance of compact agility and all-surface capability.

Drive Balance Tuning
- Use 39T gear (w/15T) front + 40T gear (w/15T) rear = front bias
- Use 40T gear (w/15T) front + 39T gear (w/15T) rear = rear bias
- Use matching gears front and rear = neutral balance
- Oil-filled differentials allow viscosity tuning
Performance Benefits
- Compact M-Chassis dimensions enhance agility
- Front midship motor optimizes weight distribution
- Aluminum oil dampers provide precise damping control
- Universal drive shafts maximize power transmission
- Full ball bearings reduce friction throughout drivetrain
- 5-degree caster improves straight-line stability

- Three wheelbases accommodate various body styles
Usage Notes
The XM-01 Pro is designed for rally driving on dirt, gravel, and mixed surfaces, as well as tarmac. A low-profile servo is recommended (standard size servo can be used but contacts the front polycarbonate cover). The chassis is compatible with select XV-02 Pro hop-up option parts for further tuning. Choose your wheelbase based on your preferred body shell—the kit includes propeller shafts for all three configurations. Rally block tires are included and optimized for loose surface traction. Note: This is a chassis-only kit—body, motor, ESC, and radio system are sold separately.
Fitment
