Overview
The Tamiya Lamborghini Cheetah returns as a 2026 re-release of the 1/12 scale electric R/C assembly kit. It depicts the 1977 Lamborghini Cheetah, an angular, doorless military off-road prototype. The kit includes upgrades over the original to improve performance for today's hobbyists.
The chassis shares its platform with Tamiya's 1/12 XR311 Combat Support Vehicle (Item 58004) but has a 10mm shorter wheelbase. It is built on a lightweight, rigid duralumin U-shaped plate. The battery sits lengthwise in the center and the motor is mounted at the rear. Updates for 2026 include semi-pneumatic tires with a flat chevron tread, a duralumin front underguard, and duralumin rear R/C equipment trays that carry the receiver and ESC.
The kit comes with an ESC and a Torque-Tuned motor. The hard styrene body is molded in PS Desert Yellow and has a detailed interior with a meter panel, seats, a fire extinguisher and a driver figure.
