Overview
These aluminum M5 serrated locknuts are designed to work with Tekno RC's TKR5570B M5 threaded stub axles on the SCT410, but they can be used anywhere an M5 serrated locknut is required. The step up from M4 to M5 is the whole point: the larger thread gives more material to clamp against, so wheels stay where you put them.
As Tekno puts it, M4 serrated locknuts simply cannot compare and can strip or come loose under the loads a short course truck generates. The flanged, serrated face bites into the wheel and the black anodized finish keeps the hex looking sharp through repeated wheel changes.
Key Features
- M5 thread for a substantially stronger wheel connection than M4
- Aluminum construction keeps rotating weight down
- Flanged, serrated locking face for positive hold
- Black anodized finish for wear and corrosion resistance
- Designed around the TKR5570B M5 threaded stub axles
Performance Benefits
- Greatly reduces the chance of a stripped nut or a lost wheel
- Serrations resist loosening from vibration and hard landings
- Flange spreads clamping load evenly across the wheel face
- Lighter than a steel nut of the same size
Usage Notes
- Requires M5 threaded stub axles such as the TKR5570B
- Tighten firmly but avoid overtorquing aluminum threads
- Use an M5 nut driver matched to the hex size
- Inspect threads and serrations after any heavy impact
