Overview
Tekno RC's 68mm shock springs are the short-spring option built for lowered shock towers and shorter shocks. This set is wound from 1.4mm wire with 6.25 active turns and finished in blue — the stiffest step in the 68mm range, for the highest-grip surfaces and the biggest landings.
The 68mm range runs stiffer than Tekno's previous springs, covering 4.18 lb/in to 5.17 lb/in across nine coil counts from 8.0 turns down to 6.25 turns. Fewer turns over the same free length means a higher rate, so you can walk chassis balance up or down in small, repeatable steps without touching oil or pistons.
Key Features
- 68mm free length, intended for lowered shock towers and shorter shocks
- 1.4mm wire with 6.25 active turns — the stiffest step in the range
- Blue color coding for fast identification in the pits
- Can be used on the front and/or rear of compatible vehicles
- Part of a nine-step range from 8.0T down to 6.25T
Performance Benefits
- Maximum support through the middle of the shock stroke in this range
- Quicker suspension response on rough or high-grip surfaces
- A more planted feel over bumps and through long corners
- Fine rate steps between colors let you tune in small increments
Usage Notes
- Supplied as a pair — you need two sets to change both front and rear
- Write the color and turn count on your setup sheet before you change anything
- White (8.0T) is the softest in this range; blue (6.25T) is the stiffest
- Designed around lowered towers and shorter shocks — confirm your shock length first
- Replace any spring that has taken a hard hit or lost free length
