Overview
These MOD 0.8 (32 pitch) pinions carry over the same features as Tekno RC's MOD 1 pinions, the gears that made the line some of the best on the market. This 18-tooth version is precision machined from durable hardened steel and built to last through the harshest conditions.
The 5mm bore fits standard large-shaft electric motors, and the tooth count is etched into the face so you can identify a pinion at a glance in a cluttered pit box. Pick up a few tooth counts and gear changes between heats take seconds.
Key Features
- 18-tooth MOD 0.8 (32 pitch) pinion gear
- Precision machined from hardened steel
- 5mm bore for standard large-shaft electric motors
- Etched tooth count for fast identification
Performance Benefits
- Hardened steel resists wear and holds its tooth form under power
- Finer 32 pitch teeth mesh smoothly and run quietly
- Lets you tune gear ratio for punch, top speed or run time
- Durable construction stands up to rough, dusty track conditions
Usage Notes
- Pair only with MOD 0.8 / 32 pitch spur gears
- Set gear mesh with a slip of paper between pinion and spur, then tighten
- Seat the set screw on the flat of the motor shaft and use thread lock
- Check motor and gear temperatures after changing ratio
