A hard-anodized finish protects the surface from the constant abrasion of dirt, clay and astroturf, while the 7075 alloy gives the plate the stiffness and strength to survive hard landings. If your current chassis is bent, cracked or sanded thin, this puts the car back to a known-good baseline.
